STICKS, STIPES & OTHER THINGS (2018-2021) are mixed media sculptures that include branches.The branches are shaped while growing and then culled. Most of the branches & tree limbs are grown in Los Angeles. Larger limbs are from Central or Northern California as well as in Montana. I have collected objects that have a natural patina of age and transient stark beauty.The collected objects include human hair, thorns, copper wire, animal bone fragments, metal, glass & ceramic shards, spray painted plywood and old construction materials.
