Move Aside , 2011 is a collaboration between myself and Karen Frimkess Wolff. This mixed media, site specific art installation was commissioned for Flag Stop, an art event in Torrance, California. Move Aside relates to the idea of a Flag Stop- when trains would know they needed to make a short stop to pick up passengers by the waving of a flag. Also in the piece is references to the different ways people have moved from one place to another- by foot, horse, or vehicle as well as a suggestion of a train round house. Size: 10' x 30' x 20'
